'Forgotten Shores'
This painting was inspired by a walk around the South West Coast Path near Newton Ferrers in South Devon.
As we walked, with not a person in sight, it felt like a forgotten coastline with beaches that were inaccessible. The rugged rocks, dark and jagged, slipped easily into the strandline, creating a dramatic scene. This led me to sit on the cliffs and sketch.
Over time, this sketch evolved into a collage, involving lots of trial and error to express the beauty of the shoreline in my own way.
-Mixed Media on solid wood panel
-A white solid wood frame
-43 x 43cm
